Our coffee...
For great coffee, you need to start with great beans. At the Coffee Bean Café, we pride ourselves on our coffee, which is freshly ground, and made using a blend of 100% Arabica beans, which are both fair-trade and UTZ Certified. So when you drink our coffee, you’re helping to improve the social and environmental conditions at coffee plantations around the world.
But for great tasting coffee, having quality coffee beans is only the start! You need an espresso machine which is engineered to extract the best flavour from the beans, along with a commercial water filtration system to purify the water used. We use the ‘Rolls-Royce’ of espresso machines, ‘La Marzocco’, which sets the standards by which all other professional espresso machines are judged. Handmade in Italy, it is far superior to the average high street café’s coffee machine, producing a shot of espresso for which every last drop is to savour. Our range of delicious food...
We are proud of our food and the wide choice of dishes we have available. Every morning, our delicious food is freshly prepared in our kitchen by our chefs using the highest quality ingredients, which we source daily from New Covent Garden market & Smithfields.
Unlike some other sandwich bars, all of our fillings are also made fresh in our kitchen each day, absolutely none are bought from suppliers. This ensures that we have total control over the quality and freshness of our food, without needing to put nasty additives that ‘bought in’ fillings have added to prolong shelflife! Our baguettes, ciabattas and bagels are freshly baked too, ensuring your sandwich is as fresh as can be!
For breakfast, we offer freshly baked croissants and pastries, as well as cooked English breakfasts and bacon or sausage sandwiches. As well as sandwiches, our lunchtime offerings include homemade pastas, jacket potatoes, various hot dishes and our speciality which is hot salt beef which we cook from scratch! It takes us a very long time to cook, but we think you will appreciate our efforts when you taste it!
